How to care for your flowers

Our flowers are selected from some of the world's finest growers, shipped daily from around the world. This means that our extensive range of flowers are gauranteed for quality and freshness.

To ensure that our flowers bring the recipient as much pleasure as possible, we aim to deliver our flowers in bud. This means that not only will the flowers make a beautiful gift for as long as possible, but they'll also provide a varied display as they go from bud to bloom.

Flower food and care instructions are also included.

Caring for cut flowers

• Remove all packaging and trim the stems by 2-3cm, making a diagonal cut with a sharp knife or secateurs.
• Remove any leaves that will be below the waterline.
• Place the flowers in a vase containing clean, lukewarm water mixed with the sachet of flower food provided, following the guidelines on the reverse of the sachet. Do not use metal containers as they neutralise the effects of flower food.
• Display the flowers in a cool, light location away from draughts, direct heat, sunshine or fresh fruit.
• Keep the vase water level topped up as necessary.
• To refresh flowers after 2-3 days, remove any drooping flowers or foliage, re-cut the stems by 1-2cm and replace in fresh lukewarm water.

For your information

• Lily pollen can stain clothing and furniture. In case of contact, leave to dry, then brush off. Do not use water.
• Your flower delivery may include special transit feed-and-water wadding. We recommend you do not place it on any unprotected surfaces.
• Flowers and plants are for display only and must not be consumed as some flowers may be poisonous.
• Always keep cut flowers and vases out of the reach of children and pets.
